My name is Zelo-Jade!

I use she/they pronouns and am a 24/7 artist and student.
I do a lot of projects that involve aspects of healthcare, creativity, and education, and this website serves as the explanation for the multitude of things I like doing! Think of it like a little piece of my soul that you can peer into and explore!

First I am from Picuris Pueblo, and served most of my growing life as a New Mexico resident, playing in the woods, and practicing my cultural doings. Second, I was raised by a European mother, from the age of two, where many of my personal values were created in line with czech values. I consider both of these backgrounds essential to the person that I’ve become now.

Being a first generation, female bodied, queer identifying individual, there are a lot of hardships I’ve endured inside and outside the reservations that I’ve come to value as important life experiences. These hardships are the primary reason why I do the work that I do, and my goals as follows:
1) Youth have no idea what potential they have as educators and leaders, I am here to dismantle the submissive youth stereotypes created by society one friend at a time.
2) Art is the key to human success and wellbeing. No ifs ands or buts! I will always advocate for the creative spirit no matter what time or context, it is important and you should make something! :)
3) The education system (specifically the one created by America) is deficient in its use of education, and I would like to explore the many avenues of education that aren’t specifically labeled as ‘education’.
